FAQs about Y&S Tent Rental

  1. How far in advance should I begin planning and reserving rentals?

    Advance notice generally depends on the size of the event and the type of items you would like to rent. For large events such as weddings, we suggest reserving your rentals as soon as possible; plan on reserving eight months to one year in advance for the best selection. Smaller events can be accommodated with much shorter notice. Regardless of your lead-time, we will work with you to plan the best event possible.

  2. How will I know what size tent to order?

    We offer a variety of canopy sizes to accommodate your needs. Our staff will calculate the canopy needed, based on the number of guests that will be attending your event. We also take into consideration the type of event you are hosting (formal dinner, cocktail party, lecture...), the furniture you plan to rent (tables, chairs, bars, dance floor...) and the floor plan for the furniture set-up.

  3. I’m planning a small intimate dinner party; do you have a minimum order?

    No, we are happy to help you plan any size event. With smaller orders, it is more cost effective to pick up your rental items yourself, but please allow us to help you make your dinner party special!

  4. I will be out of town up until the week before my wedding. Is it be possible to plan everything long distance?

    Of course! Many of our clients come from out-of-state and have planned wonderful events ranging from 25 to 500 people. You may want to consider contacting one of our excellent wedding coordinators who will be able to work with you on all the aspects of your wedding

  5. Are delivery and setup available?

    Absolutely! We specialize in delivery and set-up, ensuring your items are delivered and arranged exactly as you desire. Our friendly delivery staff works to make sure every detail is in place so that you may focus on the more important things, like enjoying your event. Please check with us regarding delivery and set-up fees.

  6. I'd like my event to have candlelight. What types of candles do you offer?

    Candles provide a warm ambiance allowing for an enchanting natural light and are a beautiful backdrop for any event. We carry a large selection of long-burning, high quality votives, tapers, pillars, torches and more. We highly recommend unscented candles since large volumes of scented candles can overwhelm the delicate fragrances of foods and flowers. For outdoor events, be sure to ask about our citronella torches, which will help to keep those unwanted guests at bay

  7. What if the weather turns cold?

    No need to worry about those sometimes chilly, western Pennsylvania nights. We have a large stock of heaters available to ensure your guests stay warm and enjoy themselves completely.

  8. Can you help me find a caterer, photographer and other services for my event?

    Yes! Our sister company, Elegant Catering, is the ideal choice for food and beverage service. We also work with a photographers, florists, and coordinators, and we would be happy to refer them to you.
